A Fight Worth Having ("AFWH") is committed to making afightworthhaving.com (the "Site") accessible to everyone, including people who use assistive technology. We work to meet the Level AA success criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 across the Site.
What we do
- Semantic structure. We use real headings, landmarks, and lists so screen readers can navigate the page properly.
- Keyboard support. Every interactive element (links, buttons, forms, the menu drawer, the signup modal) is reachable and operable with a keyboard.
- Visible focus. Interactive elements show a visible focus indicator when navigated to with a keyboard.
- Color contrast. We target WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text) across the Site.
- Alt text. Informative images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked as decorative.
- Reduced motion. Animations on the Site respect the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting in your operating system. - Captioned video. Our video content includes captions or transcripts wherever possible.
Known limitations
Some embedded third-party content (Substack readers, social-media widgets, donation processor flows) is delivered by partners and may not fully meet our accessibility goals. We work with those partners to push for improvements and we welcome reports of specific issues.
